Q&A
with Dawn Holte:
Background information: I am the 2004 recipient of the Arnold A. and Eleanor D. Lamberg Teacher Education Scholarship, and I also have received the following UW-Eau Claire Foundation scholarships: the Mary-Charlotte H. Crill Music Scholarship, Tuba Travel Vaughan and Young Scholarship, Herbert and Geraldine M. Juneau Music Scholarship, Viennese Ball Winds Scholarship, Peter A. and Karen L. Fadness Organ and Choral Scholarship, and a Blugold Fellowship.
Why I chose UW-Eau Claire: After meeting with faculty and staff, seeing the campus and realizing the many opportunities that were available, I knew UW-Eau Claire was the place for me!
My postgraduation goals: I will pursue a career as a middle school band director. I also hope to earn a master’s degree in music education. In addition, I hope to become the best teacher I can be, continuing my professional development to the fullest extent possible in my field.
How donors' generosity has made a difference in my life: Earning a college degree has always been my dream; I would have done whatever it took to achieve it. However, these donors’ generosity has made it possible for me to gain so much more from my college experience. Rather than worrying about my finances, I was able to focus on learning.
What I'd like to tell my benefactors: Thank you so much for making education a priority in your lives. Your generosity will touch so many more lives than you, or I, could ever imagine. Please know that you are very special people and have made the world a better place for us all.
