| Fund to help alumni launch Eau Claire area businesses
Nov. 14, 2005
A new fund established through the UW-Eau Claire Foundation will provide up to $50,000 a year to startup businesses in the Eau Claire area that are founded by recent UW-Eau Claire graduates.
"Through this fund, our aim is to keep more of UW-Eau Claire's best and brightest in the area, helping them succeed at their own ventures, create jobs and contribute to the economic well-being of the region," said Raymond Hughes, director of UW-Eau Claire's entrepreneur program and one of the initial investors in the Blugold Angel Fund.
