The faculty at the Department of Foreign Languages generally does not provide tutoring. However, there are several opportunities to receive individualized help.
- The Academic Skills Center offers free tutoring in foreign languages depending on
availability of tutors and funds for UW-Eau Claire students only.
- Other tutoring:
- Spanish tutoring from 101 through 202 is provided by the Academic Skills Center.
For community members, please contact the Foreign Languages office.
- French tutoring from 101 through 102 is provided by the Academic Skills Center.
For other levels and community members
should contact the French Club.
- German tutoring is provided by the German Honor Society Delta Phi Alpha.
For students in 101 through 202 the tutoring schedule is:
Monday - 12pm to 1:50pm in HHH384
Thursday - 3pm to 4:50pm in HHH318
For community members, please contact the Foreign Languages office.
- For other languages, please check with your instructor or
the Foreign Languages main office at 715-836-4287.
- Free conversation tables open to the community are often held on a weekly basis.
- French conversation tables and their locations for the semester are

- Spanish conversation table are currently not scheduled
- Check community calendars (http://volumeone.org/).
- Language classes may also be offered at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center and
at the Ager House
- UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education may also offer assorted language classes.
