Kaishan Kong is an Assistant Professor of Chinese. Originally from the south part of China, Kaishan has a diverse background in studying and working in multinational settings. She received her academic degrees in China, England and America. Kaishan is passionate about teaching languages and cultures, study abroad projects and community engagement. She has over eleven years of language and culture teaching experience in both China and the United States. When she was a faculty member in Sun Yat-sen University in China, she also participated in establishing and preparing students for study abroad programs. In 2012, she received the Buckman Fellowship for Leadership in Philanthropy and conducted a charity project to help impoverished children in China. She is dedicated to building connections between China and the rest of the world, and making a positive impact on others.
