Entrance Counseling
In order to receive your first William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, federal law requires that you complete an Entrance Interview. We want to ensure that you have a full understanding of the rights and responsibilities you will incur before you accept this loan.
This on-line Entrance Counseling is designed to help you understand your Direct Loan. There will be an opportunity to have any questions you may have about your Direct Loan answered before you complete this interactive program. Do not hesitate to contact the Financial Aid Office at any time if you have questions about your Direct loans, or any other financial aid concern.
Who must complete entrance counseling?
Any undergraduate or graduate student attending the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire that has not previously borrowed funds from the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program at Eau Claire.
OR
Any transfer student who has not previously borrowed funds from the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan program or from the STAFFORD Loan program during attendance at their previous school.
