| Joyce is a Wisconsin native. She spent her childhood on a small dairy farm in central Wisconsin, close to Colby, WI. Yes, this is where Colby cheese originated! She attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout and received her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education. She has taught in various middle schools and high schools in Montana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Joyce spent three years in the Czech Republic with her husband and three children where she developed the love for cultures and language. She received her Masters of Education in Professional Development (MEPD) in 2005 from UWEC and began to teach ESL shortly after that. In 2007 she joined the Foreign Language Department Staff as an ESL Lecturer. Besides teaching, her passions include gardening, singing and sewing. |
