Amy Young just returned to her native Wisconsin after 15 years of working in Monterrey, Mexico. Although she received her undergraduate degree at UW-Madison, and her Masters in Education at UW-La Crosse, she has worked for the past 10 years with international schools as a teacher, principal, and curriculum director. Her most recent work has been with teacher training focused on brain-based learning strategies tied to clear learning goals, research-based planning and instruction, varied assessment methods, and delivering student-learning feedback. She loves being back in the Midwest with her family. Her two children, Niko and Jaxi, have never lived in the United States and are loving riding their bikes to school but missing the tacos and chilly candies they grew up with! |
