| Manuel Fernández received his Ph.D. in Spanish in 2001 from Pennsylvania State University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He has presented on numerous topics at various conferences and published on the work of Leonardo Padura Fuentes and the Luisa Valenzuela. His most current work attempts to analyze the working through of the Cuban national trauma in literature, film and other cultural productions of Cuba and its diaspora. |
