Educational and Media Technology

Courses in educational and media technology are offered as part of the initial licensure to teach in K-12 schools. Advanced study is available for those seeking professional development in the use of media and technology in teaching and learning and may also be taken in pursuit of additional licensure as a Professional Instructional Library Media Specialist (902 License) or Instructional Technology Specialist (903 License).

UW-Eau Claire is a member of the University of Wisconsin System School Library Education Consortium (UWSSLEC). Through the Consortium, students can take on-line coursework leading to initial and advanced certification as school library media specialists and instructional technology coordinators/administrators. The program is primarily targeted at classroom teachers and other school professionals interested in becoming school library media specialists and technology coordinators.
