B.J. Hollars


B.J. Hollars teaches creative writing, literature and composition. He received his M.F.A. from the University of Alabama in 2010 and is the author of Thirteen Loops: Race, Violence and the Last Lynching in America (University of Alabama Press, 2011) and In Defense of Monsters (Origami Zoo Press, 2012). He is the editor of Monsters: A Collection of Literary Sightings (Pressgang, 2012), You Must Be This Tall To Ride: Contemporary Writers Take You Inside The Story (Writer's Digest Books, 2009), and Blurring the Boundaries: Explorations to the Fringes of Nonfiction (University of Nebraska Press, 2012). His stories and essays have been published or are forthcoming in TriQuarterly, Creative Nonfiction, North American Review, Ninth Letter, The Southeast Review, among others.
