Donate to the English Department; we appreciate your support!
The English Department, its students, and its faculty, benefit greatly from several different funds. Included are the following scholarship funds:
- Clara B. Small Memorial Scholarship
- Elizabeth G. Morris English Scholarship
- John W. Morris Scholarship
- Les Gilbertson Scholarship
- Maurice and Alma Swan English Teacher Education Scholarship

Another fund, honoring a favorite retired English Professor who specialized in poetry and the works of Geoffrey Chaucer, awards cash prizes to students who win the sponsored contest:
- The Richard Kirkwood Poetry Prize
There is also a fund set up by Patricia and Bernard "Duffy" Duyfhuizen to help English Department faculty to pursue major scholarly projects:
- Duyfhuizen Professorship in English
And a fund to support English faculty lecture series at the L. E. Phillips Memorial Library in downtown Eau Claire:
- Elizabeth Morris Library Outreach Fund
And finally, for open gifts that help the English Department itself in many ways, the Foundation also maintains:
- The English Department Advancement Fund
