The Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire invites applications for a probationary tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis. The position will start August 20, 2012.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses as assigned in the Psychology Department, including behavior analysis courses in the applicant's area of specialty.
- Participate in research and scholarly activities, provide academic advising to students as assigned, engage in service to the university and community, and participate in department/program, college, and university committee work.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or ABD in Psychology from a regionally accredited higher education institution is required.
- ABD applicants must provide evidence that the doctoral degree will be completed by the first performance review (March, 2013).
- Area of Specialty: Experimental Analysis of Behavior or Applied Behavior Analysis
- Area of Concentration: Open
- Evidence of effective undergraduate teaching is required; experience teaching courses in learning, applied behavior analysis, or the experimental analysis of behavior considered an asset.
- Commitment to involving undergraduate students in collaborative research is expected.
- Ability to bring diverse cultural and ethnic perspectives to the department and the campus, and/or a commitment to serving as a mentor for traditionally underrepresented students will be considered assets.
The Department:
Fifteen full time faculty members in the Psychology Department represent a broad range of specialty areas. We serve more than 500 undergraduate psychology majors and 20 school psychology graduate students. UW-Eau Claire is one of a small number of undergraduate programs in the U.S. to have a major in behavior analysis with a course sequence approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
