The Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire invites applications for a probationary tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will start August 20, 2012. 

Responsibilities
 

  • The faculty member will be expected to teach one or more courses in behavioral economics, other upper-level economics courses, and principles of economics. 
  • The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in research and scholarly activities, supervise undergraduate student research projects, provide academic advising to students as assigned, and engage in service to the university and community.

 

Qualifications
 

  • A Ph.D. in economics is required; ABD applicants will be considered with evidence that the degree will be completed by February 15, 2013. 
  • Applicants must provide evidence of teaching excellence and the ability to develop and maintain an active research program.

The Department:

The Department of Economics has 10 full-time faculty members and is part of the College of Arts and Sciences.  The department offers undergraduate economics majors and minors; it also provides general education and supporting coursework in economics.  There are approximately 120 majors and 20 minors in the department.
