I received my Ph.D. in economics in the summer of 2002 with specialty fields in Public Economics, International Economics, and Econometrics. I joined the economics faculty at UWEC as an assistant professor in the fall of 2002. My research interests are in public economics with a specific focus on the issues surrounding welfare reform. My most recent research is in three separate policy areas: the economics of recycling programs, the economics of health and nutrition in our schools and the economics of reforming our health care system. I have also become involved in local economic research and analysis as Co-Director of the Chippewa Valley Center for Economic Research and Development (CVCERD). Click here for more information on the CVCERD.
I enjoy watching and playing sports, especially basketball and golf.
Go A's, Go Raiders, Go Kings, Go Orangemen, Go Blugolds!!!
I also enjoy listening to music and spending time outdoors as well as relaxing with my family and our three cats and one dog at our home in Eau Claire.
