Mike Babl, Chris Thompson, Nicholas Kuqali, and Paul Stroik debated "Real World Economics: Benefits and Opportunity Costs of the Bailout Package (TARP) and the Stimulus Package"

 

Students presented research at state capitol

Eleven UW-Eau Claire students presented seven research projects to legislators, state leaders and UW System alumni and supporters during "Posters in the Rotunda: A Celebration of Undergraduate Research" April 22, 2009 at the state capitol in Madison. Participating students, their faculty mentors and research topics were:

  • Amanda Verriden, psychology (Dr. Kevin Klatt), "Assessing Preferences for Young Children Diagnosed with Autism."
  • Touger Thao, philosophy and religious studies (Dr. Scott Lowe), "The Essential Aspects of Traditional and Christian Hmong Weddings in America."
  • Sarah J. Peterson and Robyn Fennig, biology (Dr. Kristina Beuning), "The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 2008 Carbon Inventory."
  • Heather Nichols, nursing (Dr. Cheryl Lapp), "War and Its Aftermath: A Study of Nurses and Their Resilience in the Coming Home Process."
