ODE-Omicron Delta Epsilon-

International Honor Society in Economics

 

Omicron Delta Epsilon, International Honor Society in Economics,
is one of the world's largest academic honor societies with over 640 chapters located in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Egypt, France and the United Arab Emirates.

The Eau Claire chapter, the Theta chapter, was established in 1974. Requirements for ODE membership are a 3.0 GPA in Economics, a 3.0 overall GPA, and the completion of at least 12 credits of Economics.

The objectives of Omicron Delta Epsilon include:

  • the recognition of scholastic attainment and the honoring of outstanding achievements in economics;
  • the establishment of closer ties between students and faculty in economics within colleges and universities, and among colleges and universities;
  • the publication of its official journal, The American Economist
