Blugold Dining has a wide assortment of jobs available for you to choose from. You can work in one of our retail dining areas, the Cafeterias or even Catering!

Getting a Job with Blugold Dining
Most student positions are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Previous retail food experience is not necessary - we will train you.
Required Documents - You will need to bring a Driver's License or State ID Card, and your Social Security Card (or photocopy) with you to process your application. International Students should also bring their Visa and Passport with them. Other forms of ID might also be acceptable - please call our office for details (715-836-5261)
Positions Available - You may sign up for different jobs on different days. For example, you may work at Riverview Café one day, work at Sub Connection in a food court on another day and sign up to help out at a catering event whenever you want.
Catering - Our catering department caters weddings. receptions and other special events on campus throughout the year. Any student working for Dining Services may work for a catering event. Many events are in the evening or on weekends - all events are on campus. Shifts are flexible and generally 2-8+ hours long. You can sign up to work catering events by dropping by our main office in Davies Center.
Uniforms - Cost for your uniform is usually under $20 and can be paid for with cash/check or payroll deduction. Uniforms will be checked out to you when you complete your paperwork at our Davies Center office.
Schedules - When you sign up for a shift at a dining area, you will work that shift every week until the end of the semester, with the exception of weekend shifts. This way you can make you job part of you weekly schedule. If you sign up for a weekend position (Friday-Sunday) you only work every other weekend. We call it the 'A' and 'B' weekends. This gives you every other weekend off.
Time Off - If you need a day off you simply fill out a 'sub slip' in the dining area which you will work. These are posted and someone else can work your position (or you can work for someone else who would like a day off.)
Checks - Checks are available for pickup on Fridays after 9am. All students can enroll in direct deposit if desired. Please see Chuck Schwie for details.
Sickness / Emergencies - If you are sick and cannot work, you need to call your manager as soon as possible so we can find a replacement for you. If you have a personal emergency contact your manager as soon as you can so we know how long you will be gone.
