John returned back to campus in July 2011 as the Executive Chef. He was previously associated with Dining Services at UW-Eau Claire as the Executive Chef for Professional Food Service Management during the years of 1983 to 1997. You may recall his work during this stretch with many of the special events on campus, as well as all of the ice carvings and sugar pullings for the Viennese Ball.
Since then John has worked for Eurest Dining, Aramark and Taher, in the positions of Executive Chef and General Manager of various locations in the Minneapolis area. He graduated from the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, New York in 1976 and has been in the Food Service industry for over 40 years.
John has made his home here in Eau Claire for the past 28 years with his wife, Glennis and two children—son, Mitch and daughter, Kelsey. In his free time he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting and doing various projects around his home including building outside structures, remodeling the interior of the house, landscaping, etc.
