The staff of the UWEC Counseling Services will:

• Treat you and your situation with sensitivity, caring, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Provide ongoing emotional support should you decide to become involved with the judicial system and/or police.
• Consider your situation seriously, regardless of your gender or the gender of your suspect.
• When a sexual assault has occurred, you make the choices that seem most helpful. A counselor will assist you in understanding what those choice/options are.
