Candidates who do not plan to walk at Commencement should notify Lynn Dehnke using the Commencement Ticket Reservation System (it will take you less than a minute to complete) by Monday, April 7th.

Ticket information if you plan to walk at Commencement.  REGISTER NOW:  Commencement Ticket Reservation System

Commencement tickets are free but required for all guests, including infants and children.

Tickets are allotted to each graduate based upon the Registrar's count of candidates registered for graduation, the number of available seats in Zorn Arena and your reservation. The largest possible equal number of tickets will be assigned to each graduate in an effort to be fair to everyone.  There is not an expectation that there will be "extra" tickets.  Each attending student will receive three tickets.

Tickets will be available at the Senior Countdown Event on Wednesday, April 23, and distribution will continue at the Service Center until noon on May 9, 2014.  A picture ID is required.

Standard Hours — Academic Year for the Service Center

Monday – Friday  >  7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday  >  10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

All ticket requests are handled through the Commencement Ticket Reservation System to provide the greatest number of tickets to all who are attending the ceremony.

Tickets cannot be sold, as they are being provided to you at no cost.

If you are unable to get as many tickets as you want, remote site broadcasts will be presented in Davies Center — in Woodland Theater (328) and Ojibwe Rooms A and B (330A and 330B). No tickets are required for these locations. These spaces offer comfortable seating for elderly guests and those with small children.

Candidates living at an address 50 miles or more from the city of Eau Claire while student teaching or interning may request that their Commencement tickets be mailed. Requests must be registered on the Commencement Ticket Reservation System no later  than Monday, April 7th . You must include the following information in your request:  Your name, your Blugold ID number, undergraduate or graduate student, 9am or 2pm ceremony, and the address where you'd like the tickets sent to.  No exceptions will be made since the Service Center is open evenings and weekends.

Contact Lynn Dehnke at no later than Thursday, May 1, to exchange your Commencement tickets if you or your guests have these special needs:  ALL SPECIAL SEATING TICKETS HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED AS OF MARCH 27, 2014.  PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST.

  • Require special seating arrangements because of physical impairments
  • Require the printed program in a larger format for the visually impaired
