On Oct. 14, UW-Eau Claire hosted guests from Shaoguan University in Guangdong, China. Shaoguan University will participate with UW-Eau Claire in the China 1+2+1 program, through which students from China earn dual degrees from UW-Eau Claire and their home institution in China.
Karl Markgraf recently returned from a trip to China, where he met with leaders from a number of Chinese organizations and universities. While in Guangzhou Markgraf attended a reception hosted by UW-Eau Claire alumnus Brian Goldbeck, consul general of the U.S. Embassy there.
Cheryl Lochner-Wright and UW-Eau Claire student Christina Huber, along with colleagues from Ferris State University and UW-Madison, presented a session titled "I'm Back. Now What? Practical Re-entry for Study Abroad Participants" at the NAFSA: Association of International Educators Region V conference Oct. 30 in Milwaukee.
