Welcome to the International Student Services section of the Center for International Education. Our goal is to provide international students with support for an excellent period of study at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. We have two full-time International Student Advisers to help with transition to UW-Eau Claire, visa regulations, and advising on academic and other issues. Over 150 international students study at UWEC. The purpose of International Student Services is to make their transition to and time at UWEC the best one possible.

The Center for International Education provides support for exchange students, degree-seeking students, China 1+2+1 program participants, and English-language learners. A comprehensive orientation is provided upon arrival to the U.S.

Services provided by the Center for International Education include information on visa compliance, health insurance, and employment. The Center for International Education also offers many exciting programs. These programs include our Host Family/Friend Program, Buddy Project, International Speakers Bureau, Peer Guide Program, and International Ambassador Program. In addition, excursions to local cultural attractions are organized every semester for the benefit of our international students.
