Fall in northwestern Wisconsin is one of the most beautiful times of the year. The leaves are turning, the air is becoming crisp and you can hear the Blugold Marching Band gearing up for Homecoming weekend festivities. We are honored to share these sights and sounds with you as the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire hosts the October 2009 Board of Regents meeting.

On Oct. 15 and 16, UW-Eau Claire will roll out the red carpet with two days of activities that will whet your taste buds, awaken your senses and introduce you to a campus and community we are proud to call home.

Our theme for your visit is “Transforming Our Future,” and I hope you’ll take advantage of your time on our campus and in our community to experience the many ways that our students, faculty and staff are making an impact through transformative learning, research and service.

We are also pleased to host the Chancellor Assistants Annual Meeting and welcome them to campus. We have a stellar program planned to facilitate this meeting, and we invite other guests to participate as their schedules allow.
