Decline/Cancellation/No Show Policy

Decline


Failure to decline an interview 48 hours prior to the interview date will be considered a cancellation. Refer to the Cancellation Policy below.

Cancellation Policy


If an emergency arises and a candidate must cancel an interview within 48 hours prior to the interview date, the candidate is required to call the Career Services office at 836-5358 or stop in the office, Schofield 230. The candidate will be required to prepare a letter of apology for the company recruiter, and must submit the letter to a Career Services staff member within 24 hours following a cancellation. The Career Services Office will send the letter to the recruiter. The office will retain a copy. 

If the candidate does not meet this policy, suspension of campus interviewing privileges and future resume referrals may result. The department chair will also be notified of the non-compliance.

No Show Policy


One missed campus interview is considered a "no show". The candidate will be required to prepare a letter of apology for the company recruiter, and must submit the letter to a Career Services staff member within 24 hours following a cancellation. The Career Services Office will send the letter to the recruiter. The office will retain a copy. 

If the candidate does not meet this policy, suspension of campus interviewing privileges and future resume referrals may result. The department chair will also be notified of the non-compliance.

Appeals Process


Career Services staff will determine final status of student's future interviewing or resume referral privileges.
