This month's featured CDC resource is brought to you by Mike Parmley, a Career Associate in the Career Discovery Center.

The Action Verbs worksheet is a quick and easy way to enhance your resume. This resource comes in handy when promoting yourself by helping to explain your skills, experience and accomplishments in a descriptive and straightforward manner.

 

The Career Discovery Center is a comprehensive career resource facility within Career Services. We have extensive career-related materials on areas such as

* regional employment opportunities
* career exploration
* salary surveys
* descriptions of specific careers
* how to get into your chosen career

Resource materials are available with examples of resumes and cover letters, international internship and career options, graduate and professional study opportunities, and much more. We are open Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Drop In Hours: Monday - Friday 10-12 and 1-3

Career Specialists and Careeer Associates are available specifically during this time to help you with a quick question, or to give an overview of our services. Of course, you can stop by any time during our open hours to use the Career Discovery Center, make an appointment to meet with a counselor or schedule a resume review.

Career Associates

Career Associates who work in the Career Discovery Center can guide you through all steps of your career development. There are not many questions they haven't heard before, but they love challenges.

Stop by and challenge them! Let them show you around, help you find helpful resources and assist you in determining your next steps, whether it is completing a self-assessment, setting up an appointment with a counselor, researching careers and jobs, or whatever else you need.
