Dr. Marie Stadler, has re-joined the faculty after 5 years, during which time she worked within the UW system in River Falls and Stevens Point. Her B.S. in speech and theatre is from UW-Eau Claire and her M.S. degree was earned at San Francisco State University in Communicative Disorders. Marie worked as a speech-language pathologist for 10 years in public schools in California, Ohio, and Wisconsin and Birth to 3 in Eau Claire. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (Special Education, Early Childhood) from the University of Minnesota in 2001.
Dr. Stadler teaches primarily in the areas of child language disorders, family-centered assessment and intervention, clinical procedures and AAC. She provides clinical supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in the Communicative Disorders Clinic. Currently, her research centers on the development and teaching of phonological awareness and narrative skills in young children.
