Ms. Kay Hagedorn first joined the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders as an academic staff member in the fall of 1984 and worked half-time through the fall of 1989. At that time, she taught a variety of courses and provided clinical supervision. Kay earned her baccalaureate in communication disorders from the University of Minnesota - Duluth and her master's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. Kay returned to the department on an as-needed basis from 1990 to 2001 and then on a regular basis in 2002. She currently provides clinical supervision, with an emphasis on voice disorders, for graduate and undergraduate clinicians on campus and at off-campus sites. Kay also teaches various courses including those in the area of sign language and voice.
Before joining this department, she worked as a speech-language pathologist at Sacred Heart Hospital and the Development and Training Center, both in Eau Claire . She then worked in our community providing services to adult developmentally disabled individuals and the CMI population.
