Ms. Collins joined the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders as a part-time academic staff member in the fall of 2001. She completed her baccalaureate degree at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in Secondary Education-Communication Disorders and her master's degree at Washington State University in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Before joining the department, she worked as a public school speech-language pathologist in the states of Washington and Texas and as a classroom teacher for a multihandicapped program in Michigan. Areas of interest include, speech and language development and disorders and augmentative communication. Shannon currently provides supervision of graduate and undergraduate student clinicians on and off campus and teaches the undergraduate clinical seminar and the "Introduction to CSD" courses as well as co-advising the UWEC, CSD student association (NSSLHA)
