Dr. Linda Young Named Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Linda Young to UW-Eau Claire as our new Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Dr. Young began her new position on August 1, 2011.  

Dr. Young comes to our College from the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE), where she was a founding faculty member of the School of Nursing and was instrumental in the development of its baccalaureate nursing program. She served in various roles while at MSOE, including program director, clinical site coordinator, and family project coordinator. 

Dr. Young is a certified family life educator through the National Council on Family Relations and is a certified nurse educator through the National League for Nursing.  Her research and publications have pertained to quality of life and anxiety in adult patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation and also the impact on the family. 

She is looking forward to being part of the UW-Eau Claire community and the broader community of Eau Claire.  We are pleased to have her join us.
