Why did you decide to come to UW-Eau Claire for college?
I chose the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire because it’s a midsized university. It has all the benefits of a large school but on a manageable scale. The University feels welcoming, friendly and has a million opportunities to get involved.
Why did you pick the major you selected?
I have a passion for business, the professors and advisers guided me into majors that fit my personality. I am excited to be taking classes in marketing and entrepreneurship.
Have you studied abroad?
I have not studied aboard yet, but I am planning on going to Winchester England next fall. I know that this international experience is going to be a bit more costly than a semester at Eau Claire, but I believe you have to take these opportunities when you get the chance.
Have you held a leadership position in a student organization while you have been at UW-Eau Claire?
I find Eau Claire to be teeming with leadership opportunities. Getting involved is one of the most important parts of college. It not only helps with time management, it is fulfilling, rounding out an educational experience. I am involved in Eau Claire’s top-notch forensic program and I am on the executive board of a major housing organization. I cannot wait to apply all the leadership experiences from this housing organization and my speech team in my class work and career.
What does success mean to you? How has UW-Eau Claire College of Business prepared you for success?
Success, to me means, achieving your goals. As long as I am working toward my dreams, I am succeeding. I am finding success here at the College of Business at UWEC because I am gaining real life experience and taking classes that truly interest me in pursuit of achieving my degree and a career.
