The Blugold Sales Challenge gives UW-Eau Claire students professional feedback on their selling skills while exposing them to the excitement of a sales competition.
The Blugold Sales Challenge, which is open only to UW-Eau Claire students, has been held on campus every year since 2001. The 2013 Sales Challenge is sponsored by Northwestern Mutual–The Bohannon Group.
UW-Eau Claire students competing at the Sales Challenge deliver a 20-minute sales presentation for a product or service. Sales professionals from the sponsor company judge presentations using the same scoring system used at sales competitions around the country. Student competitors receive their evaluation sheets and are given access to digital recordings of their role plays to review and critique.
All participants receive a Blugold Sales Challenge t-shirt. Students also receive points towards the University Sales Center Alliance Certified Sales Student certificate.
Rank in the Blugold Sales Challenge determines student participation in the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up and other sales competitions held around the country.
