2010-2011 outstanding marketing students named
Marketing faculty and staff in the Department of Management and Marketing recognized three 2010-2011 graduates for their scholarship, leadership and community service.
Adam Mallek (center), a marketing major from Wisconsin Rapids, WI, was named the December 2010 Outstanding Markeing Student. Mallek completed internships with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the Eau Claire Crush, a community-based football team. He was also a student manager in the UW-Eau Claire Davies Center. A social media enthusiast, Mallek frequently was invited by student groups to give presentations on how to use social media to develop professional networks.
Ian Novak (left), a professional sales marketing major from Plymouth, MN, was named the December 2010 UW-Eau Claire Outstanding Marketing Student. Novak completed an internship with SUPERVALU that required him to develop rebranding and repositioning strategies for IGA.
Kelli Renstrom (right), a marketing-professional sales student from Loretto, MN, was named the May 2011 Outstanding Marketing Student. Renstrom, who was president of the student chapter of the American Marketing Association for the 2010-2011 academic year, studied abroad at Southern Cross University in Lismore, Australia. She also completed internships with Clear Channel Communications and Maverick Media.
