Diane Hoadley named new business dean
Diane Hoadley was named dean of the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire following a national search. She is the fourth dean in the history of the College of Business, and is the first woman to assume this role.
Hoadley comes to UW-Eau Claire from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill., where since 2002 she has served as dean of the Lumpkin College of Business and Applied Sciences. Previously she held faculty and administrative positions at The University of South Dakota, where she was an associate professor of business law. At USD, Hoadley also served as director of two graduate programs and was associate dean and interim dean of the Beacom School of Business.
"I am looking forward to joining the faculty and staff of the UW-Eau Claire College of Business," Hoadley said. "The college attracts high-achieving students, has a great professional development program and maintains two national accreditations, just to mention a few of its strengths. I like the university's emphasis on providing students with a transformative learning experience and strong professional programs. This is a good fit for me, and I'm anxious to get started with my work at UW-Eau Claire."
Hoadley received her bachelor's, master's and juris doctor degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
