Speaker Discusses Sustainability as Source of Profit, Advantage in Business

Mr. Gunnar Andréen, former executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sophus Berendsen AS and former president of Tvattman AB, two leading European companies, presented "Necessity, Opportunity, Profit: A Winning Combination for Environmental Sustainability in Business" in Schofield Auditorium. Andréen discussed how companies like Scandic Hotels, view sustainability as both good for society and business. He introduced students to The Natural Step, and discussed how he used this framework to integrate ecological sustainability into corporate business strategies and operations.
