Sales class raises record amount for area non profit

Advanced sales class

Students in the advanced sales class presented a check for $64,489 to Gregg Mizerk, CDC executive director, at a celebration luncheon held May 14.

Congratulations to the students in the UW-Eau Claire spring 2014 advanced sales course for raising $64,489 in cash and in-kind donations for the 25th Annual. L.E. Phillips Career Development Center (CDC) Golf Outing. The amount raised this year by students in the course taught by marketing instructor Jerry Kollross exceeded past sales goals.

The golf outing, which will be held August 1 at the Mill Run Golf Course, supports the activities of the CDC, a non profit organization that provides meaningful vocational and employment opportunities to individuals who are disabled or disadvantaged.
