Robert G. Kramer to speak at 2014 CHAASE Spring Banquet
“Investing in Future Leadership: PEOPLE, PROGRAMS, AND PLACES," is the theme for the 2014 Annual Center for Health Care Administration and Aging Services Excellence (CHAASE) Spring Banquet. The event will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014 at The Florian Gardens, 2340 Lorch Avenue, Eau Claire, WI.
Robert G. Kramer, founder and president of the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC), will deliver the banquet’s keynote address. NIC is a nonprofit, educational forum that provides information about capital formation and business strategy for the senior housing and care industry. The organization is the leading provider of research, and business and financial performance data for financiers, owners, operators and developers who serve the senior living community. NIC is committed to advancing the quality of senior housing and care by facilitating informed investments.
Kramer is a frequent writer and speaker on trends in seniors housing and long term care. A former county government official and Maryland state legislator, he has served on the board of directors for the Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) and was a founding director of the National Association for Senior Living Industries (NASLI). Educated at Harvard and Oxford Universities, Kramer holds a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.
The Tenth Annual Practicum Open House will be held at 5 pm. Similar to a job or internship fair, the Practicum Open House exposes students to organizations that hire HCAD students as practicum interns and full time employees.
A poster session highlighting the leadership projects of the HCAD practicum students will be held during the Practicum Open House. The poster session is an effort supported by the Minnesota Area Geriatric Education Center (MAGEC) and the University of Minnesota chair in Long-Term Care and Aging.
A social hour at 6 pm will be held immediately after the practicum open house and poster session. Dinner will follow at 7 pm with the keynote presentation to begin at 7:45 pm.
A special thanks to the 2014 banquet sponsors.
Price: $25 per person for UW-Eau Claire students; $50 per person for HCAD parents; $75 per person for all other guests. Please make checks payable to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation.
