ATF agent on campus to discuss federal law enforcement career opportunities

Army ROTCSenior Agent Robert Schmidt of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will be on the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus, Thursday, May 1, 2014, to discuss career opportunities in federal law enforcement. A formal presentation will be held at 3 pm in Schneider Hall Room 101. The event is open to the public.

ATF conducts criminal investigations, regulates the firearms and explosives industries and assists other law enforcement agencies.

Schmidt will discuss his experiences as a special agent with ATF and with the Naval Investigative Service. He will also discuss career opportunities through the ATF and recent changes in the organization’s hiring process. Following his presentation, Schmidt will be available to answer questions.
