UW-Eau Claire to host 56th Annual Career Conference

Career ConferenceThe 56th Annual University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Career Conference is just around the corner. This year’s conference will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 10 am–3 pm in the Davies Center Ojibwe Ballroom. Almost 100 organizations, including accounting firms, businesses, graduate schools, and state and federal agencies, participate in the conference each year.

Career Conference is great place for freshmen and sophomore business students to practice networking skills, learn about career options, and discover which companies recruit on campus. Junior and senior students use the fair to make preliminary contacts with employers for internships or permanent employment after graduation. These contacts can be followed up with more formal interviews either on or off campus. The UW-Eau Claire Career Conference is co-sponsored by Beta Upsilon Sigma, a student business fraternity, and Career Services. The event is free and open to all UW-Eau Claire students.
