Students will have access to new degree audit starting March 4
As of March 4th, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will have access to the new degree audit. Although the old degree audit is still an option, it will no longer be available after Spring Semester 2013.
On March 11, an email will be sent to students encouraging them to print out a copy of the old degree audit, compare the results to the new degree audit, and keep the old one.
Considerable time has been put into ensuring the accuracy of the new degree audit, however the UW-Eau Claire Registrar’s Office is asking for student and advisor assistance in verifying and comparing the audits. Some majors and minors have not been coded in the new degree audit yet. See box below. No topical minors have been loaded yet. The UW-Eau Claire Registrar’s Office hopes to have all majors and minors coded before the end of the semester.
Students should also note that not all petitions (substitutions and waivers) have been loaded onto the new audit. If a petition has been filed, it will eventually be coded in the new degree audit. No petitions filed after February 1, 2013 have been loaded into either version of the degree audit. However, the degree audits of May graduation candidates have been loaded.
Students and academic advisors are STRONGLY encouraged to use the PDF version of the report, which contains information not visible from the on-line version. Instructions for reading the new degree audit can be found on the LTS Online Help at www.uwec.edu/help.
Students who identify any discrepancies or have questions should contact their academic advisor.
For more information, contact Dr. Jack Hoggatt, assistant dean, UW-Eau Claire College of Business.
