Student Professional Development Program "Gets Professional!" 

The UW-Eau Claire College of Business Student Professional Development Program (SPDP) has revised the Professional Etiquette workshop. Starting this semester, the workshop will include a networking and dining experience with industry professionals. Students will now learn what it means to host a client during a business dinner.

Completion of the first three SPDP workshops is required before attending the Professional Etiquette banquet. Training previously delivered in the old format will now be incorporated into the initial three workshops.

To prepare students for the Professional Etiquette banquet, dining etiquette training will be offered to students who completed the first three SPDP workshops prior to this semester. This training is highly recommended.  

“Students should remember that they will be hosting business professionals as their guests,” said Sheryl Poirier, SPDP coordinator. “We want you to be prepared!”  

The first dining etiquette training is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13 in the Davies Center Centennial Room at the following times: 12 noon, 3 pm, and 8 pm.  Space is limited. Please RSVP to spdp@uwec.edu. Dress is casual and training will not exceed 1 hour.
