Business etiquette is very important, according to UW-Eau Claire Student Professional Development Program coordinator

Sheryl PoirierSheryl Poirier, College of Business Student Professional Development Program coordinator, was featured in the July 28, 2011 Leader-Telegram article, "Manners required: Resources available for better business etiquette".

"I feel etiquette is very important and somewhat disregarded in today's society," Poirier said. "The ability to portray oneself in a professional manner at dinner, during a chance meeting, in an interview, at the office or anywhere is so important. Knowing what to do and what not to do in a business setting can be the difference between getting the job or the deal or losing out."

The article, written by Leader-Telegram business editor Liam Marlaire can be viewed in its entirety here.
