
Wald Named 2011 Outstanding MBA Student
Karla Wald has been named the 2011 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Outstanding MBA Student by the graduate faculty of the College of Business. Wald, a May 2011 graduate, is from Chippewa Falls, WI.
Wald holds a B.A. degree in business administration and marketing from Lakeland College. She is the operations business consultant for North Point Specialists in Chippewa Falls, WI. Wald is also a volunteer certified small business counselor for SCORE – Western Wisconsin.
In April 2011, Wald was selected from a pool of 9,100 graduate students from universities across the United States as a finalist in the Presidential Management Fellow (PMF) program, a federal entry-level leadership development program for graduate students. She is one of only 10 students from the UW System selected, with the other nine candidates from UW-Madison. » Learn more
In the future, Wald may pursue a Ph.D. in either organizational or change leadership. For now, she plans to secure a position in the PMF program and continue to do the things she enjoys, which include reading, gourmet cooking, collecting vintage jewelry and antique chocolate molds, and enjoying the outdoors.
