Application deadline extended to June 15 for Winterim Study-Abroad Experience in India

Taj MahalThe application deadline for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Business study abroad program in India has been extended to June 15, 2011, according to Dr. Rama Yelkur, UW-Eau Claire International Business programs coordinator. Students will study in India January 2-17, 2012.

UW-Eau Claire students will travel with Yelkur to Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in New Delhi, where professors from SRCC and Delhi University will lecture on topics related to business, economy, politics, society and the culture of India. Students will also tour cultural and historic sites in New Delhi and the neighboring cities of Agra and Jaipur, said Yelkur.

Students in all academic disciplines who have a cumulative resident grade-point average of 2.3 of higher, good academic standing, and at least sophomore standing are eligible to apply. View application form.

Scholarships are also available. The Winterim program to India was developed through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to prepare students and Wisconsin businesses to be more competitive in emerging markets.
