College of Business students to present at first Provost’s Honors Symposium

Five projects submitted by University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Business students have been selected for inclusion in the university’s first Provost's Honors Symposium for Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity. The event, sponsored by the University Honors Program and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 from 1-5:30 pm in Schneider Hall. A reception following the last presentation will be held in the second-floor breezeway of the university’s McIntyre Library from 5:30-7 pm.  All events are open to the public. 

College of Business student presentations are as follows:

• Regional and Societal Influence in Ethical IT Decision Making: A Comparison of US and Australia, 1-2 pm, Schneider Hall, Room 319.
  Presenters: John Luoma, a senior accounting major from Park Falls, WI; and Kristin Konitzer, a senior health care administration major from Arpin, WI
  Faculty mentor: Dr. Bruce W. Lo, Information Systems

• Could it Happen to Me?: Female Business Students’ Expectations of Gender Inequality in the Workplace, 1-2 pm, Schneider Hall, Room 315.
  Presenters: Brittany Graber, a senior accounting major from Turtle Lake, WI; and Nicole Lence, a senior management-entrepreneur major from St. Paul Park, MN
  Faculty mentor: Dr. Kristina Bourne, Management and Marketing

• Modeling the Equity Premium in the United States: 1987-2010, 3:20-4:20 pm, Schneider Hall, Room 319
  Presenter: Eric Nohelty, a senior finance and business economics double major from Rothschild, WI
  Faculty mentor: Dr. Yan Li, Economics

• Development of Practicum Site Quality Profile for Long Term Care Administration Programs, 4:30-5:30 pm, Schneider Hall, Room 317.
  Presenters: Alicia Albert, a senior health care administration major from Roseville, MN; Rebecca Brunz, a sophomore health care administration major from Madison Lake, MN
  Faculty mentor: Dr. Jennifer Johs-Artisensi, Management and Marketing

• Image Now Scanning Training and Procedures Manual, 4:30-5:30 pm, Schneider Hall, Room 317.
  Presenter: Theresa Strey, a senior management major from New London, WI
  Faculty mentor: Kathy Sahlhoff, Financial Aid
