Summer business course helps students market themselves

Steve Jobs did it. Donald Trump does it. And Aaron Rogers is in the process of doing it. But you don’t have to be famous to “brand” yourself.

A new summer 2012 course offered by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Department of Management and Marketing will teach students how to successfully marketing themselves to employers and other stakeholders.

In the BSAD 191 Special Topics course, Personal Branding: The Art & Science of Selling Yourself, students will learn how to facilitate personal goal achievement through the development of customized marketing plans built on their strengths and life interests. The three-credit course, which meets June 18 through July 6, 2012, is open to all UW-Eau Claire students as well as eligible area high school students. Chuck Tomkovick, PhD, a two-time recipient of the UW-Eau Claire Excellence in Teaching award, will instruct the course.

Excellence. Our Measure. Our Motto. Our Goal.
