Twelve Business Students Receive College Scholarships

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Business Scholarship Committee is pleased to award scholarships to the following business students for the 2010-11 academic year:

  • Jennifer Alexander memorial scholarship: Nicholas Levin, a professional sales marketing and Spanish business double major from Eau Claire, WI, $500.
  • Helen B. Andersen memorial scholarship: Brittany Hohl, a business administration and Spanish business double major from Portage, WI, $1,500.       
  • Philip Breitman memorial scholarship: Timothy Bissen, an operations/materials management major from Austin, MN, $6,632.
  • John C. Dennison memorial scholarship: Shari Sorenson, a management major from Mondovi, WI, $5,000.
  • Richard T. Gannon scholarship: Brady Zwiefelhofer, a professional sales marketing and entrepreneur management major from Bloomer, WI, $750.
  • Jacob Leinenkugel Sophomore Diversity/Economic Need scholarship: Joseph Pitt, an accounting major from Chippewa Falls, WI, $700.
  • Jacob Leinenkugel Junior/Senior Diversity /Economic Need scholarship: Melissa Boerst, a business administration major from Shawano, WI, $700.
  • Robert D. MacDonald memorial scholarship: Matthew Vorhees, an accounting major from Madison, WI, $700.
  • Brad Olson memorial scholarship: Jennifer Homeyer, an accounting major from Medford, WI, $800.
  • Ronald Schlattman international study abroad award: Alison Dykhuizen, an entrepreneur management major from Buffalo, MN, $500.
  • Wells Fargo Diversity/Economic Need scholarship: Pia Lor, an accounting and information systems development double major from Wausau, WI, $2,000
  • Xcel Energy Diversity/Economic Need scholarship: Andrea Hull, a business administration major from Eau Claire, WI, $2,000.

Scholarships are available through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation.  

Scholarship recipients and donors will be recognized at the College of Business Scholarship Luncheon, Friday, December 3, 2010 from 12:00-1:30 pm in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Davies Center Tamarack Room.
