Dr. Douglas Olson Elected to ACHCA Board of Directors
Dr. Douglas Olson, associate professor of health care administration at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, has been elected to the board of directors for the American College of Health Care Administrators for 2010-13.
Olson also is director of the Center for Health Administration and Aging Services Excellence at UW-Eau Claire.
Olson believes that this new ACHCA board role will allow him to continue to be involved in moving the leadership development bar forward and to further bridge the efforts of the academic world with the health care administration field. This aligns well with Olson's role with CHAASE to positively influence university health and aging services administration programs nationwide, he said.
ACHCA is a nonprofit professional membership association that provides educational programming, professional certification and career development opportunities for its members. It also works to support long-term care leaders and to promote excellence in health care administration.
Olson holds a doctorate in health services, research, policy and administration from the University of Minnesota.
