ACHCA Receive Chapter Excellence Award
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student chapter of the American College of Health Care Administration will receive the ACHCA Chapter Excellence Award, at the 2010 ACHCA Annual Convocation & Exposition, which be held May 14-18, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA. Kelsey Callahan, a senior health care administration student from Forest Lake, MN, is president of the UW-Eau Claire ACHCA chapter. Dean Eide is the faculty adviser for the group.
UW-Eau Claire ACHCA student chapter was chosen for the award for successfully implementing programs that connect students to their local ACHCA chapter as well as to the national organization. These initiatives included piloting two student mentor programs, managing the CHAASE Annual Meeting, organizing a national ACHCA research poster session for students and recent graduates, and collaborating with faculty on research focusing on teamwork and leadership.
