UWEC Students to Present 2010-2011 Tax Update for Small Businesses on Dec. 9
Tax Issues for 2011, An Informal Session for Small Business Owners, will be presented by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire advanced tax class on Thursday, December 9 at 4 pm. The session, which is free to the public, will be held on the UW-Eau Claire campus in Schneider Hall (located on the corner of Park and Roosevelt Street) in Room 213. Metered parking is available in the Zorn lot located next to Schneider Hall.
Participants will receive an overview of 2010 and 2011 tax issues that may affect small business owners. Student presenters will also alert business owners to issues they should be discussing with their tax advisers.
The senior accounting, business economics, and finance students leading the session are Caitlin Dykstra, Devan Gonyea, Emma Grosse, Nicholas Heimer, John Marchant, Rachel Marti, Benjamin Sluzewski, and Eric Wallendal. The instructor for the advanced tax class is Dr. Ray Hughes, UW-Eau Claire Department of Accounting and Finance.
