Student Organization Raises Money for Local Charity
Beta Gamma Sigma has set up an online Kettle to raise money for the Salvation Army this holiday season.
"We wanted to ring the real salvation bell on campus, but due to Salvation Army regulations they only have pre-designated bell ringing locations throughout town. So, we decided to set up an online Kettle to fundraise instead" said Lindsey Crooker, Beta Gamma Sigma president.
The members will be distributing free candy canes along with fliers with the URL and more information on Wednesday, December 8th from 9 am-1pm in the Schneider lobby.
"This is a great opportunity for Beta Gamma Sigma and other UW-Eau Claire students to give back to the community during the Holiday Season" says Jonathan Butler, Beta Gamma Sigma vice-president. "Even if you can give a dollar or two it will help—no amount of giving is too small."
